Ride For Refugees 2006

Ride StartInternational Teams Canada hosts the “Ride for Refugees” every year. This event raises money to support the work we do with Refugees in Canada and around the world.

This year, we had over 140 riders who have raised $73,000 so far.

RefugeesFor the first time, I decided to ride. What an experience it was! As I haven’t ridden in about 8 years, and haven’t gotten much exercise recently, I decided to “just” do 25K this year.

Cyclists in the RideUnfortunately, we had abnormally cold weather this year, and had a snow storm during the ride! What an experience that was. I finished up with cold hands & feet, and a sore rear, but I made it! And I know that what I suffered through is nothing compared to the refugees I was able to help.

Thanks to those who sponsored me!
